A Better Way for Tradies to Handle Customer Calls and Appointments
A customer rings while you are on a job. Their tap is leaking, their pump has stopped or they need a quote. By the end of the call you may have a name, phone number, address, rough price and a day to visit — all of which can disappear if it is written on the wrong scrap of paper.
Capture the call while it is fresh
The simplest workflow is to open a New Call / New Job screen as soon as the call ends and enter the customer name, phone number, job notes and agreed visit time.
That turns a phone conversation into a usable job record before the details are forgotten.
Keep quote details with the booking
If you told the customer an approximate price or call-out fee, record it with the job. The same applies to access instructions, parts to bring, photos promised by the customer or anything else you will need later.
Send a reminder before travelling
For mobile work, a confirmation before you drive to the site can save a wasted trip. The customer can confirm, cancel or ask to reschedule before you leave.
Make tomorrow easy to see
A tradie should be able to open the app and immediately see tomorrow’s visits in time order, including address, phone number and the important job note.
Build around the tradie, not the software
The screen should use practical terms such as job, quote, site visit, materials and invoice. The point is to reduce admin, not create another office job.
